ASSET PROTECTION

Go back

Asset protection is structuring the ownership of one’s assets to safeguard them from potential future risks.  Assets that can be protected include liquid assets, securities, real estate, business interests, professional practices, works of art, intellectual property, cars, boats, jewelry and virtually anything of value.  We protect these assets from threats such as litigants and creditors, and preserve the assets for the benefit of our clients and their families.

We protect assets using domestic laws and entities such as family limited partnerships, irrevocable trusts and corporations, domestic and foreign annuities and domestic and private life insurance placement.

We safeguard the privacy of our clients and the confidentiality of their assets. We do not base asset protection strategies on the supposed “banking secrecy”, but we use the law both U.S. and foreign to create secure barriers around those assets.

In order to ensure the safety of our clients’ offshore assets, we have developed relationships with international banking institutions, attorneys and trustees in various offshore jurisdictions.
